Cycle Surgery winter series round 3
This was held on Sunday the 6th and was another great round to the 2014 Cycle Surgery Winter Series. We had 115 riders turn up to participate in the race which incorporated every single track we have at Sandy Point in one big loop. This was well received and with the good weather showing up just in time it was another great ride. As always the spot prizes from our generous sponsors were well received and everyone left smiling. With the half way mark reached the points are starting to come up and some really good battles are showing up in all categories so keep up the training and we will see you all at round 4 on the 3rd of August at Sandy Point.

Southern Series Downhill Event
This will be held in Bluff on the weekend of the 27th of September watch this space for further details.

Club meeting
This will be held at Sport Southland on Tuesday the 12th of August starting at 7.30pm. All welcome please feel free to come along.

Sandy Point Forestry activity
The time has come the machines are out there and the trails are marked off. Please respect the wishes of the council and the crew and refrain from crossing the tapes and we will get the tracks opened up as soon as we can. Thanks

Downhill working bee on Bluff hill
Prior to the above Southern Series round we need to do some work to the downhill track. This date has been set for the 14th of September starting at 9am. If you are able please come on down and lend a hand to have a quick tidy up of the trail and spread some gravel. We would ask for a good showing of helpers from the Downhill riders, you guys know what works and lets face it you don't want a track made by cross country riders.

Sandy Point tidy up!!
A big thanks to Anita Cooper and her crew from the school holiday programme that gave up some of their time to have a tidy up of our trails. I believe 2 bags of rubbish were collected and the tracks are looking really good. We appreciate you guys taking the time to help us in this way.

The days are getting longer and the tracks are still dry see you all on the bike.
