5.5 Weeks to go till the sporting event of the season

H & J's Outdoor winter series

Round one has come and gone with 189 riders fronting up to tackle the challenge. It was really great to see 40 young riders turning up to take part in the guided ride. Huge thanks to Analise and Steve for setting up the loop and ensuring all the kids got around safely. With the large numbers there was a little congestion at the start but turned into a really enjoyable loop. With round two just around the corner keep up your training and we look forward to seeing you all there. Registrations are open early on the day, we had a lot of first time riders this month slowing the computer entries. Next month all those names will be in the computer and the process should happen a lot smoother. however if you can please front in heaps of time, register then head for a warm up we will try to kick off on time. Please remember if you need anything for your bike to visit our sponsors and support Michael and the team who so generously support us.

Ride Cycles Bluff Enduro

This event was held on Saturday the 9th of May. With 31 riders turning up (some travelling quite a distance)to take part it was a fantastic event. Unfortunately due to inclement weather conditions we had to call an early end to prevent track damage but everyone finished smiling. Thanks to Pete and Melissa from Ride Cycles for the awesome spot prizes and Oyster Cove for the refreshments at the prize giving. Thanks to the crew who spent a lot of time organising the event, marking out tracks and sorting the timing system.

A B Equipment Mid winter 8 Hour

As previously mentioned this is to be held on Saturday the 20th of June. This is just over 5 weeks from now so time to get serious. With our awesome sponsors A B Equipment, Southern Automobiles, Wensley's cycles, Hirepool, Pure South, Invercargill Brewery, More FM, Zookeepers and New Zealand Mountain Bike Magazine there is certain to be something for everyone. Bike School training sessions

Well known Female mountain bikers Scarlett Hagen and Shannon Miller have teamed up to form a business known as BikeSchool. They are offering two women's sessions in the Southland at the Sandy point and Bluff hill trails. The first being November 15th 2015, the second on the 13th March 2016. The session will cost $145 and I think any one who partakes will notice huge gains from tutorial from riders of this calibre. If you are interested please check them out at www.bikeschool.co.nz or on Facebook for further details date changes etc.

Keep up the training and enjoy the ride. See you all on the tracks!!!!!!!!!
