COMPETITION RULES

The U19 event is draft legal, all other events are non-drafting. CLICK HERE for more information.

RACE NUMBERS

Athletes will receive three race numbers. One to wear on your front; one to wear on your seat post and one to place on the front of your helmet. DO NOT alter these in any way. Please complete the section on the back of the race number, especially if you have medical conditions.

SWIM CAP

Swim caps will be compulsory. You will be issued with a swim cap which will be representative of the event you are competing in.

RACE TIMING

All competitors will be issued with a transponder that corresponds to their respective race number and an electronic time automatically produced. The transponder is a type of Velcro 'bracelet' that you strap around your ankle and wear for the entire race (please make sure it is strapped securely around your ankle). If the transponder is not on your ankle you may not receive an official time.
Once you have crossed the finish line, please return your transponder to one of the marshals. If you do not finish the event, please ensure you return your transponder to one of the marshals at the finish line. If your transponder is not returned, you will incur a $50.00 replacement fee.

BIKE/HELMET CHECKS

It is the athlete's responsibility to ensure that their equipment is in safe working condition. Random checks will be made as you enter transition. Please ensure you have your bike helmet on with the strap secure so this can be checked.

TRANSITION

Transition entry is restricted to competitors only. NO bags/boxes etc. are to be left in transition. Anything you do not need for your race should be left with your supporter/s. Technical officials may remove from transition any boxes or bags that are deemed to be causing a hazard or obstruction to other competitors. An announcement will be made at the time when only competitors can collect their gear from transition. If you require warm clothing after you finish, please ensure this is outside of transition. Please do not request to enter transition before the announcement. Thank you for your understanding.

PRIZE GIVING

Prizegiving will be held at Jack's Point after the final Team Triathlon event in the afternoon.
